Practical strategies and techniques will be highlighted to facilitate effective communication, identify and align interests, and maintain mediator independence. This workshop aims to empower mediators with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of multiparty mediations successfully.

Ippei Okazaki

Ippei Okazaki is a trauma-informed specialist facilitator and mediator based on Karuna Country (Adeliade). With a personable approach and extensive on-country experience, he has worked extensively across remote communities across NT and SA. Recognised for his contributions to mediation and peace projects, he has received several accolades, including Community Mediator of the Year in 2014 and 2024, and National recognition for the Bushfire Community Recovery Projects following the Black Summer bushfires in 2019-2020. He will be co-Charing the NMC2025 in Gadigal (Sydney).
