Parenting Coordination is one of the most effective interventions for families who remain stuck in high conflict after separation especially once parenting orders are in place and disputes keep resurfacing around day-to-day implementation. In this practical, accessible webinar, you’ll learn what Parenting Coordination actually is, what it’s designed to do, and how it differs from mediation, therapy, legal advice and case management. We’ll explore when it works best, when it’s not appropriate and the key tools coordinators use to reduce escalation, manage impasse, improve communication and keep parenting arrangements stable and child-focused.
The session also introduces a trauma-responsive lens how nervous system reactivity and cumulative stress can drive entrenched conflict, and what it means to work in ways that reduce re-traumatisation while maintaining clear boundaries and safety. Ideal for family lawyers, mediators, FDR practitioners, psychologists, social workers and professionals supporting separated families, this webinar provides a clear foundation and practical takeaways you can apply immediately.
You’ll leave with:
- A clear definition and scope of Parenting Coordination
- Indicators for suitability and referral pathways
- Practical tools and scripts for high-conflict dynamics
- A trauma-responsive framework for safer, more effective practice
