The Resolution Institute VIC Arbitration and Determinative Committee is holding its biennial Arbitration Master Class for Grades 1 and 2 Victorian arbitrators and any interested Victorian Grade 3 arbitrators and interstate Grade 1 and 2 arbitrators.
Attendance at a Master Class and satisfactory assessment are mandatory requirements for re-grading and the triennial grading review in accordance with the RI Policy for the Registration of Practising Arbitrators.
Topics for the Master Class comprise:
- Relevant legislative requirements eg Uniform Commercial Arbitration Act, Court Rules, Wrongs Act, International Arbitration Act etc;
- Relevant judgments of superior courts;
- Resolution Institute Rules;
- Arbitration practice and procedure; and
- Topics adopted from suggestions by practitioners, required from the Board or the Chapter Committee.
IMPORTANT: Each registrant is requested to submit one or two questions or topics including that may have arisen in their practice as arbitrators for discussion at the Master Class BY FRIDAY 29 MAY 2026.

The Master Class offers an engaging workshop experience, inviting participants to actively contribute to discussions on various topics related to arbitration. Participants will be evaluated based on their contributions and comprehension of the arbitration process.
