A positive duty to eliminate sexual harassment at work, and to manage psychosocial hazards at work: the strategic opportunities for triage, investigators, mediators, trainers in ADR, management, and consulting.

The biggest changes in 60 years have just hit Australian workplaces large and small. There are now  obligations on business to be proactive in ensuring their workplaces are free of sexual harassment and hostile environments   At the core is a major change - a call to action for businesses to more effectively prevent and address workplace sexual harassment. This involves changes in leadership, dispute resolution and data collection.  Where are the opportunities for dispute resolution practitioners including trainers and mediators and investigators and how to access those opportunities.

About the speaker:

Shirli Kirschner

Shirli has a background in law and was a sessional Registrar at the Federal Circuits Court (Industrial list). She is also an awarded dispute resolution designer and co-founder of Elker, a software company that creates digital safe spaces for reporting.

David Bryson 

David Bryson is a former member of NADRAC and an experienced Australian workplace facilitator, mediator, and coach. In 2014 David was awarded a LEADR Award for Significant Contribution to Dispute Resolution in Australia. He is Director of an ADR consultancy and Senior Consultant at Resolve Advisors whose Director Shirli Kirschner co-produced the steppingstones tool
