The AMDRAS Board has recently released amendments to the National Mediation Standards. The new standards (the AMDRAS) recognises three levels of accreditation, including Advanced (Level 2) and Leading (Level 3) Mediator.

The new Standards require that mediators wishing to apply for accreditation as Advanced Mediators must undertake a 2-day training workshop, known as the Practicum Certificate, that focuses on real case discussion, practical skills and self-reflection.
