About the speakers


Anne-Marie Cade

Anne-Marie Cade is an award-winning lawyer and mediator who has a Masters in Family Dispute Resolution and Negotiation, is a Nationally Accredited Mediator, a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner a Certified Divorce Coach and a Parenting Coordinator. She was awarded a Churchill fellowship by the Winston Churchill Trust in Australia to research Best Practice in Parenting Coordination and has recently returned having completed her research in 7 countries around the world. She also has training in mediation, negotiation, relationship mediation, conflict coaching, high conflict divorce, divorce coaching, Brain Based Conversation skills, Brain Based Coaching Skills and Neuro Linguistic Programming. 

She has won many industry awards namely the Lexis Nexis Legal Innovation Award, The Women in Law Thought Leader of the Year  Award and she was a finalist for the Women in Law Excellence Award. Most recently she was named as the 2023 Australian Mediator of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards. She is also an elected representative in Local Government and is the Deputy Mayor of her local Council. 


Mieke Brandon AM

Mieke Brandon BA MSc(App) became a community mediator in 1989 and a family mediator in 1993. She is accredited under the National Mediators Accreditation System (NMAS) and is a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, trainer, supervisor, NMAS assessor, and author.
She has written many articles for peer reviewed journals and is co-author of Mieke Brandon and Linda Fisher, Mediating with Families .
In 2017 Mieke and Linda Kochanski won the ADC Project Award and in 2018 with Linda Fisher the William J. Kreidler Award, Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). Mieke is an Advance Practitioner Member of ACR.
Mieke has been a dispute resolution practitioner, supervisor, and mentor for over 30 years, and in 2021 was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her contribution to dispute resolution and mediation.
