What steps are you taking to ensure your mental health and wellbeing?

 

As conflict managers it's crucial for us to pause and reflect on our mental health and overall wellbeing. Join us for a reflective practice workshop with Shiv Martin where she will delve into various, non-clinical, aspects of workplace wellbeing, offering insights and strategies to promote wellness. 

During this session Shiv will discuss practical, work based strategies that assist in identifying and managing the psychological toll of conflict work. As conflict managers and people managers, we will explore a range of non-clinical skills and strategies in a reflective practice format. We will cover the following content, and introduce a number of resources and tools for further development:

What are the risk factors?

  • Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, Vicarious Trauma Moral Injury
  • Dealing with challenging conduct
  • Auditing psychosocial risk factors in the workplace

How do we identify, manage and limit the risks?

  • Self care
  • SMART work design
  • Integrated Mental Health Strategy
  • Reflective Practice

A maximum of 20 attendees are able to participate in this workshop. 


About the trainer

 

Shiv Martin

Shiv is a nationally accredited mediator, practicing lawyer, conciliator, decision maker and certified vocational trainer. She has engaged in complex dispute resolution, stakeholder engagement and team building in the government, education and justice sectors for the past 15 years, occupying various executive and senior panel appointments for state  and federal government agencies. Shiv delivers facilitation, dispute resolution and training services that seek to build our capacity to connect, build relationships and problem solve through better conversations.
